

Dr. Bierman is the inventor of StatLock® catheter stabilization devices and founder of Venetec International. In 2006, Venetec was sold to C.R. Bard, Inc. for $166 million. With more than 15 years in the medical device marketplace, Dr. Bierman brings with him to ASI the core of his successful Venetec team.

As Executive VP of Sales at Venetec International, Bill drove sales from $3 million to more than $30 million in 3 1/2 years. Prior to Venetec, Bill held executive positions at C.R. Bard/Davol and MediBuy. He brings with him 25 years of selling expertise, as well as superb relationships with industry, end-users, and sales personnel.

Rick was the VP of Operations at Venetec International. Prior to Venetec, he worked at Winfeld Medical — another successful medical device venture. He possesses expertise in all aspects of medical-device design, manufacturing and production. At Venetec, he successfully launched one-to-three new products per quarter for five years in succession.
The former VP, Finance at PatientSafe Solutions, Chad has more than 14 years of diverse finance and accounting experience. At PatientSafe Solutions, he was instrumental in closing multiple venture capital-backed equity financings. Prior to PatientSafe Solutions, he held positions at Vivendi Universal Net USA and MP3.com where he played a key role in MP3.com’s IPO and subsequent sale to Vivendi Universal. Chad began his career at Ernst & Young and is a licensed CPA (inactive).

With 30 years of experience in the medical device industry, Albert held this identical position at Venetec International. He successfully took the company through FDA field inspections, ISO certifications and quality inspections from numerous OEM device companies. His most recent enterprise was to construct and implement a quality/regulatory system for a highly technical medical device company in Irvine, California.

Neal was the Quality Assurance manager at Venetec International. Prior to Venetec, he worked at various catheter start-up companies as well as a contract device manufacturer. At Venetec, he was in charge of quality engineering, quality assurance, and quality control activities.

Aaron was previously a Senior Engineer and Information Technology Manager at Venetec International. He has more than a decade of engineering experience in medical devices and information technology. While at Venetec International, he was instrumental in supporting the design, manufacturing and production of new and existing products.

Pennie was the Customer Service Manager at Venetec, and directed the Customer Service group that supported Venetec through its sales growth from $3 million to over $30 million. She also played an important role in the integration efforts of Venetec into C.R. Bard post-acquisition.

Dr. Tal is an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Yale University School of Medicine. A practicing interventional radiologist and recognized expert in the field of vascular access, Dr. Tal has been at Yale University since 1999.
Dr. Stocking is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He has 20 years of clinical experience and is in private practice as an anesthesiologist and pain medicine specialist.
Dr. Duque is board-certified in anesthesiology and has 17 years of clinical anesthesia experience. He is a past Chairman of the Department of Surgery at his hospital and is currently a Director in his anesthesiology group.
